The daily breakfast was impeccable and the servers were so kind and spoke in French, English and Portuguese. The staff went over and above and we booked in a wine tasting with the chef of the restaurant and it was amazing!!

Évora is a walled city with a long history.
Évora is a walled city with a long history. It is easily explored on foot, but bring sensible walking shoes, as the cobbled streets makes for a very uneven surface. We didn't spend enough time in Évora to see all the sights, but soaked in the friendly atmosphere and had a couple of very enjoyable dinners there. We highly recommend the tasting menu of restaurant Origens, while Café Alentejo serves traditonal food from the region.
