Fosshótel Mývatn is located next to Lake Mývatn, 6.8 km to the Mývatn Nature Baths. The hotels provides free WiFi and free private parking. All is good except no Wi-Fi on our room at 3/F. It was unacceptable in a 4 stars hotel nowadays. Sauna room with a nice view but it’s opens fri. 10:00 am to 10:00 pm only. It will be much better with long open hours

Dinner was absolutely phenomenal! Everyone was so kind and caring and the scenery was absolutely gorgeous. Would return to Iceland just to stay here again!

This family owned hotel is located at 3,8 kms away from Godafoss waterfall, and offers modern guest rooms with private bathroom. Free private parking is available. If your main goal to see the northern lights, this is the best place you can imagine. The sky is dark, no sources of light pollution around, mountains aside are not tall, so you see the sky from left to right without obstacles. We had chance to see beautiful northern lights, and it was awesome. Just use one of two large spaces on the road that lead to the hotel, there are the darkest spots for observing. Hotel is very clean and soundproof. Good breakfast.

Hotel North sijaitsee Akureyrissa 6 km:n päässä kulttuuri- ja kongressikeskus Hofilta. Majoituspaikassa on baari, ilmainen yksityinen pysäköintimahdollisuus, puutarha ja jaettu oleskelualue. Breakfast was excellent. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Hottubs in back were nice.
