This hotel was amazing, I am traveling a lot but nothing to compare with. People in hotel service were very good intended. Hotel condition and location were over my expectation. I was very well surprised. If you pass by then you must check in for a good price offer. It is new and looks untouched. My car was picked up by stuff and parked somewhere under the hotel, I don't know because in the morning car was arriving in the front of the hotel :-).

Located in Stara Zagora, 5.5 km from Regional Museum of History Stara Zagora, Семеен Хотел Берое provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant. Our host spoke serviceable English and all the comments referring to him are true. The small restaurant at the guest house has outstanding regional cuisine cooked by the host (Tony) and his wife. The meals prepared and served would be worth a visit even if you were not staying overnight. The lamb dish (24 hrs advance notice) was superior to any lamb dish that we enjoyed in a 6 month stay in Turkey. Menu prices are reasonable, and if in doubt- ask Tony for his recommendation. Room rates are very reasonable. The rooms themselves are large and pleasant, the beds very firm, the balcony views are wonderful. Parking is provided. There are many nooks and crannies throughout the property where you can spend hours in shady quiet. The location is up a long winding road up in the hill about 5km from Stara Zagora in a tiny village. You can trust Google Maps this time at least. Tony also has an eclectic taste in music. He sports a Metallica T-shirt, the music in the outdoor dining is a curious blend of of 60-90's American music standads. Listening to it makes you wonder. I was impressed enough to leave Tony with a USB stick of EDIM/70's Disco from the Fire Island treasure trove of 70's music just re-discovered.. Just an extremely pleasent place to be for 2 days. All the positive revies are absolutely true. Remember if you visit Stara Zagora- it's worth a visit just for the food and ambience.

It is a surprisingly good old-school style hotel - great value for money, clean, quiet, convenient, very comfortable single queen-size beds, spacious room and bathroom, pad coffee maker in the room. The staff was nice and helpful.

This family hotel is great. The hosts are nice, the rooms are very clean and spacious, and the beds are very comfortable. We had the perk of having a balcony, which my wife enjoyed very much. There are no mosquito screens but there is an AC unit and you will keep cool in the summer even without opening the windows. The bathroom is also very nice and it even had a shower cabin, which is rare in Bulgaria. The hotel is located on the edge of town in a very nice district close to the Thracian Tomb. It is very quiet during at night and walking distance to downtown. The breakfast in the morning was nice, although it did take some time before we got served. It is not buffet style, but you have the choice between 5-6 different breakfasts. I would stay there again, if I am in town.

Great location. We'll appointed, simple, yet beautiful room. Very clean, looked new. Bathtoom had a shower stall that closes well so the rest remains dry. It is a small hotel yet it looks grand.
