A historical, well preserved old city in the middle of Kurzeme. Well worth the new status on UNESCO world heritage list. The waterfall Ventas rumbas is impressive, not for it height, but for its width.

A must-have visit for tourists who come to Latvia and have extra time to get further away from the capital (2h drive). The city is well-renovated while keeping the oldschool charm. Restautants, shops, and nice people.
The nature around if beautiful. Kuldiga has the widest waterfall in Europe (widest, not highest :))

Kuldiga is an attractive ancient town filled with cobble stone streets and wooden buildings. The old town is rather compact and hence easily seen on foot. There are plentiful food outlets and pubs serving reasonably priced food and beer. We ate at Marmalades on Pasta iela (street) several times as it had good home-made food at a reasonable price. 20 to 30+ year olds seem to have a good command of English and were happy to answer questions or give directions. We enjoyed the relaxed vibe by day and felt safe wandering the streets at night - its light until about 11.00pm!

It combined fine dining with relatively tourist free (maybe in August there aren’t many tourists there anymore) town. The old buildings in the centre are almost exclusively protected and only renovated from the inside. Kuldiga is covered with flowers to decorate the old buildings. There are many bridges and obviously the red brick bridge is stunning. I also cannot not mention the widest waterfall in Europe. Crossing it is a must and I certainly did. Mind you, even though the water only reaches your knees at its deepest, the current tries to grab you along and the algae makes the stones slippery. I must admit I accidentally went swimming fully clothed!

Very nice, cozy town.
Very nice, cozy town. Surprisingly good food at local restaurants, catering to different tastes. Due to small number of restaurants, it is advisable to book the table in advance, especially during mass events.
Ventas Rumba is the best place where to spend hot summer days. Few after-dinner walks around city center is enough to see all the historic buildings. For additional (interesting) info just take guided tour, it is worth it. Additional places of interest are just short trip away, especially suited for those on bicycles.
P.S. Kuldiga is a small town, no nightlife whatsoever.
Excellent service and staff are more than friendly - will answer and help with whatever needed. Super welcoming, to the dogs and that is not too often. Really nice designed hotel and the room was quite quiet. The location is about 15min walk from the center but the nice atmosphere makes it worth 100%. There is nice, spacious garden / front yard to hang out, free parking right next to the hotel, everything is clean - the rooms and surroundings. Will definitely choose this place when visiting Kuldiga again.
We really enjoyed Inga’s apartment in Kuldiga! It was well appointed and we enjoyed making Italian - style coffee. A less than 10 minute walk puts you at the bus station and less than that to the time portal and ready to walk the old town pedestrian route. We appreciated Inga meeting us at the bus station when we arrived and taking us to her place. It made the check-in and logistics very easy.
Location was perfect and the owners were welcoming. The rooms and furnishings were very comfortable and we slept peacefully during our stay. Overall, the hotel was exceptionally clean, tastefully decorated, and full of Latvian touches and character. We were glad to have the option of well functioning AC on hot days. The breakfast next door was delicious and service was accommodating.
A small but extremely cozy place if you want to be in touch with nature and historical feeling of Kuldīga. Unique experience of staying in a shed will feel like a childhood dream come true. Exceptionally nice host Mārtiņš offered to use the terrace with BBQ just next to the river. Perfect for a romantic getaway. Sleep in both - comfort and nature.
Very nice and cosy appartment at a breathtaking location in Kuldiga. Don't miss the view down to the waterfall at 6am - this is worth waking up early! Friendly host - easy check-in just by a phone call. Two restaurants just a few meters away at the river side. Short walk to town center with nice shops, cafés and street market.
Everything was perfect starting from the owners Romans and Madara so nice and welcoming! We really enjoyed speaking with them!
The apartment is big and it has everything you need in addition very close to the amazing city of Kuldiga taking a stroll 🚶♀️ there will be for ever in our memory
I liked absolutely everything - the concept, details, the sound of rain dropping on the tiles roof, the flow of the channel under my windows. The bad was amazing, and the pillows were good. I am happy I don't have to look for the hotel for my next visit to Kuldiga, Noliktava is the best.
This place has a charming atmosphere of an old wooden house and at the same time has all the modern facilities, for example, the bathroom is new and shiny and there are plenty of electrical sockets. I hope to return there and will recommend this hotel to my friends.
The decor, the vibe and the space - we loved how well the apartment is maintained! Martins is a great host and was very attentive to our requests. We love the place so much we are going to rent it out again once we are back to Kuldiga
Interior reflected Kuldīgas old town arhitecure and put in the right mood to start the holiday trip around Kuldīga.
In kitchen there were all that is needed to cook meals.
