Palanga is Lithuania’s busiest seaside resort and is located on the Baltic Sea. However, it comes with a seasonal personality due to it being a peaceful paradise during winter before transforming into a dynamic party town in summer.
The town offers great sightseeing around the quiet forested sand dunes of Birutė Hill, the stretch of sandy beaches and the Palangas Botanical Garden that features the old Tiškevičiai Palace, home to the Amber Museum.
Palanga is forever reforming; this is evident in the lively heart of the city Basanavičiaus gatvė, a pedestrian street with a mix of traditional wooden and red-brick houses and contemporary shops, restaurants,bars, and nightclubs.
In summer be sure to check-out the list of events at the Open-Air Concert Hall, whilst Basanavičiaus gatvė Pier is a perfect starting point for a stroll or a cycle before seeing the sunset from the pier.
Booking.com offers a wide range of hotels and apartments in the heart of Palanga, Klaipėda, Šventoji and throughout Lithuania. Palanga Airport offers direct flights to Riga, Oslo, Moscow, and Copenhagen.

This was 4th or 5th time we have stayed at that place (Vila Saule). We like this location between Botanical Garden and Basanavičiaus (pedestrian) street, as it's very centered and takes just a few minutes to walk to the sea. The location is quiet and peaceful, but with all the nicest cafes and the most necessary shops right here. We have stayed in many different rooms (usually for 3 persons) on different occasions, and they were always super clean and had all the necessary equipment. The hosts are kind and helpful, so if you need any additional amenities, just ask them. Free parking is convenient. We look forward to coming here next year.

It's a very touristy, chic town with an amazing, miles long sand beach as well as an entertainment oriented city center.
If you're looking for a genuine picture of people living their live or want to connect with nature, this is not the town to visit.
But if you're looking to be entertained, party or relax on one of the nicest, cleanest beaches on the Baltic sea with all the amenities one could hope for, then Palanga has you covered.

Beautiful Baltic seaside resort city.
Beautiful Baltic seaside resort city. Town center is very cosy, compact and walkable. Lots of small shops and restaurants on the way to the beach. Great coniferous forest park area with walking trails along the seaside. Sandy beach is clean and can be accessed from all parts of the city. The pier and observation wheel definitely worth visiting. Not far away from the Dutchman's hat, but it worth taking the car or bike. Crowdy in the summer and peaceful throughout the rest of the year.

i have been going to palanga for 16 years there as not been much don to inferstukcher it lacks railway statin pavments are full of holes dont know what they spend pillow tax on .the main street to beach has not changed in 16 years . i would not eat food on that street as the cooks are not chefs . i would go to hotel to eat its ok for a drink in the many bars on that street . i wold not go in the summer as you want get on the beach . and another think its cheaper to go to spain as wee do but after september its ok .mots of the hotels are very tide now as they do not replace the old furnishings with new. as i have trid most of the hotels over the 16 years as my partner is lithuanian and i fly from uk evry mouth as she works ther and me in uk.
We stayed 7 nights in August 2021. Perfectly equipped studio apartment in a brand new building part of Vanagupes Parkas - small region of Palanga surrounded by pine forest, 2 km off city center. Both apartment and a building are decorated with style in harmony with their sea and forest location. WiFi connection is extremely fast (320 Mbps) and reliable. Highly recommended for a couple or a small family who value serenity and nature. Overall accomodation experience is great.
Unique experience, starting from location, historical value and architecture. One of the kind, great value for such a journey through time. It was more like staying in the museum than in the hotel. The rooms were spacios warm and cozy. Receptionist Vilma was more than great, gave unforgettable tour through the facilities, provided interesting historical and architectural facts. It was a pleasure to see how much she appreciates the building and the history of it.
The hotel/spa is located at a quiet corner of Palanga, next to a beautiful park. The rooms are simple, but comfortable. Breakfast is amazing - something new every day and everything tastes great. The restaurant(where breakfast is served), called MEAT, is something out of the ordinary… my english is too poor to discribe the quality of it. One might find it a bit pricey perhaps but the food is worth every penny.
Location was good (only 10 minutes to the beach). Apartments were located in the new suburb "Mano Jūra 2". It looks fresh and has modern interior design. Free parking lot. Contactless key delivery. Not far away great resto with tasty food. As bonus for me especially there are not far away Palanga Airport, you can spot the aircrafts (there no noise in apartments because of that).
The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room size was good, it was warm and the bathroom was spacious as well. Breakfast coffee was delicious. Parking was cheap. The sauna room was easily accessible and much fun soaking in no extra-charge jacuzzi.
The soap and hair/body wash had nice ginseng smell and was as high quality as hotel soaps gets.
Place was really clean!
Amazing place for leisure! For sure we'd like to come back again. Clean, spacious 2 bedroom and bigger living room (including kitchen with all the appliances) cottages. Rooms were clean and modernly furnished. Near the house we had a sauna and a swimming pool with a jacuzzi, that was perfect for a child too. The cosy place itself between Palanga and Šventoji.
Thank you!
A very comfortable place to stay in Palanga. It is close to each location needed - beach, shops, restaurants, bike rentals, main Palanga fountain & pharmacy. It is not more than 10 minutes walk to the main beach of Palanga. Not a lot of flats, so the atmosphere is calm. The parking is really comfortable and spacious, which is hard to find in Palanga elsewhere.
Buffet breakfast;
Even though hotel is in the main street, there are quiet rooms facing the other side;
Spacious room;
Air conditioner in the room;
Hotel guests get a visit in spa area ( jacuzzi and turkish sauna) in the morning.
There is a parking for the car.
Quite late check out time - 12:00.
Staff is helpful.
Located in a sparsely populated part of the resort. Short walk to the closest section of the beach which doesn't have many people on it, even during the summer season. Well equipped kitchen with all the necessary cookware. Plenty of parking spots available (coming with a car is highly recommended).
The room was spacious, exceptionally clean, had all needed things like utensils, kettle. Location almost in the middle of Palanga but in the very quiet and calm place, few min thi the beach. The owner very welcoming. Thank you for a very nice stay.
Well-decorated and thoughtfully appointed apartment; Large and comfortable amount of space for four people; Well-stocked kitchen; BBQ in private backyard; Location and walkability to popular sights in Palanga; Car parking space
Staff was very friendly, private parking space, comfortable beds, super clean. And of course the best spot to stay near the busy party street, far away enough for silent sleep, close enough to eat and get to the beach.
Great place to stay. Short walking distance from the beach. The territory is gated, and it has a dedicated parking space. Great place for those who are looking to have a calm rest, especially with a family.
staff worth 5 stars, location - perfect, few hundred of meters from the see, breakfast - fantastic (Benedict eggs with sparkling wine), SPA - one of the best in Palanga, massages - marvelous
The hotel lobby was cozy, room was clean and spacey, good location, self service to the room and the main hotel entrance (with the code combination) was very convenient.
