We have been to Arezzo a few times now and it is just wonderful! A stunning little medieval town that doesn’t get too many visitors. Buzzing at night, and lovely, cobblestoned clean streets during the day. There is an antiques fair in the city the first weekend of each month -- best to avoid Arezzo during those weekends as it's very crowded. Also best to drive there because trains go there but taxis can be hard to come by. It's a beautiful small city and if you stay in the old part of town you can walk to anyplace you want to see. The highlight is unquestionably the Piero della Francesca frescoes in the San Francesco church (reservation needed). At night many of the side streets seem deserted but I never actually felt unsafe. On the other hand you can get into any restaurant you want and the major piazzas have a festive feel in the evening. I was there for 1 1/2 days, including a side trip to San Sepolchro, and I was satisfied with my stay.

We were so exhausted from being tourists in Rome and Positano, that coming to Arezzo and relaxing by the pool all day was the perfect antidote. The staff at the Hotel are so accommodating and will do whatever they can to make your stay comfortable. The kitchen isn't open for lunch, but they made us sandwiches anyway so that we wouldn't have to travel into town. Loved, loved, loved this place!! And the in-house restaurant was exceptional! Perhaps the best aspect of the apartment, on the main shopping street, was the terrace with a pull over canopy when needed. Bathed in sunshine we were able to relax looking over the roof tops. Compared to other apartments we have used in Italy, this was roomy with good storage for a longer stay. We slept well as the double glazed window in the bedroom shut out noise. A washing machine and clothes rack took care of our clothing, a real bonus.

The kitchen was well equipped, I think there were 4 different types of coffee makers :). The unheated jacuzzi was a welcome sight after a day of exploring Italy and so relaxing to be surrounded by olive groves. There were a lot of options for breakfast, such as jam, sweet breads, toasted, biscuits, nutella, coffee maker with several coffee capsules. I stayed with a child and there was a tv with Disney+ children's drawings that made the difference. Air conditioning, washing machine. We felt at home in the accommodation. But the restaurant on site was able to do a really good gluten free meal. The property also offers a driver service into Arezzo. On our checkout morning, we took the service into town and later in the day the hotel sent our luggage to meet us at the train station. The staff is wonderful!

Communication with Yuri was very easy, he guided us on where to park, saved us a parking spot and picked us up at the parking lot so we wouldn’t have to take out luggage walking. He gave us recommendations on what to visit, restaurants to eat and was available always during our stay.
