The location of the hotel met our expectations, great view over the river and bridge. Easy walking distance to the town centre and market. Friendly staff let us check in a bit earlier as our room was ready. Free outdoor parking. Room and bathroom spotless. We did not have the breakfast so can't comment on that.

Angeliques was an exceptional host despite having 3 children to manage. She opened the place on our arrival as there were no other guests due to arrive before us. She served in the bar, in the restaurant and took our breakfast orders. Dinner was superb and a very good breakfast.

We stopped at Auberge du Botaniste for 2 nights on our way South and enjoyed a nice stay visiting Quercy. We were made very welcome by the owners and staff. The rooms and facilities were as expected: clean, comfy. The children very much enjoyed the pool. The bar and restaurant were nicely set, the service was good and friendly. The dishes, largely cooked with fresh local produce, were tasty and plentiful.

Budget Ibis was chosen as it is next door to the standard hotel and was significantly cheaper. Not central but until 1900 there is free public transport into Cahors from outside the hotel. Plenty of car parking. Excellent bakery and coffee shop next door and another over the road. Fast food available very close by. Easy access to major roads to explore the area and the valley.
