Hotel Grand, hotel in Český Krumlov

Located in the protected building directly on the historic main square, Hotel Grand provides accommodation in the centre of Ceský Krumlov with free WiFi and a breakfast buffet.

The hotel was ideally located in the main square in Cesky Krumlov. The staff were very pleasant and there were plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. Our room was on the third floor which was the top floor and there were quite a number of stairs to walk up as there were no lifts. Although we could manage these stairs, some people might find them more difficult and if you feel this might be a problem, it might be advisable to see if you can arrange a room on a lower floor. The staff did however offer to carry any luggage up to the rooms.

FAQs about hotels in Český Krumlov

The Ultimate Bohemian Rhapsody

The charm of this enchanting fairy tale city in the Czech Republic is best experienced during winter when snow covers magical Český Krumlov Castle. Lying along the banks of the Vltava River, the historic old town comes alive during summer when cafes and restaurants overflow with the influx of tourists.

The castle makes an imposing backdrop against narrow cobblestone streets and a mixture of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture in its old buildings. Choose an art gallery, museum or theatre like the 17th-century Castle Baroque Theatre, located inside the castle’s beautiful gardens.

Walking around Český Krumlov’s historic streets is a journey back in time, and the best way to soak up its Bohemian atmosphere. Your walk can be easily interrupted at one of the many cafés, restaurants and bars serving local dishes and drinks.

As the home of pilsner beer and the original Budweiser beer, the Czech Republic has a long tradition of brewing. Pivovar Eggenberg is a brewery dating back to the 14th-century and provides tours of the brewing process.

Booking.com has a multitude of cosy guest houses and hotels for that romantic getaway or family vacation in this unforgettable city.

The town is beautiful and the castle very impressive.

The town is beautiful and the castle very impressive. It felt a bit like Disneyland, though, with the hordes of tourists everywhere. We were surprised when we walked back into town in the evening for dinner and found the streets empty! All the day-trippers had left. We enjoyed the castle tours; I was a tad disappointed to not see any tours for the theater online in English the day we were there, and then to discover that there was one just after the tour we went on (in German)! It didn't look full, either. We spent two nights / 1.5 days there, and that was plenty.

I loved its architectural features and its wealth of museums. The meanders of the river give it a special charm. The central square(on which the hotel is located) is full of charm and a place of interesting activity.

Picturesque place,.it is a.must to.visit it, it is maybe my fifth time I come as it is a unique.place. There are many places.to.go.for a walk, you only need to.go.and discover them! There is an area with supermarkets out of.town but yoi.can go there on foot. However, If you don't have time for that walk, you will find some potraviny shops in town which are open till.late. It is better to.go.in.summer because everytjing is open all day and you can explore.the place.in the day light. You will feel you are in a fairy tale

I hope I never have to see Český Krumlov again.

I hope I never have to see Český Krumlov again. If so, I'll stay in a campsite (though the penzion wasn't the problem); much better to visit on a canoe trip. Hideously high prices and and as few locals as in Venice. Gigabites of fake Instagram grins and very little of real interest. The Art Centre was a disappointment with few originals from Egon Schiele but the food: I have never seen so much profiteering with so little by way of quality or service culture. The travel hostel was the exception, though I hesitate to write this down unless it sees fit to gouge prices. I liked the river and some of the walks. And it irritated me less on a Wednesday when many tourists had left.

In this period of the year the little town is very calmy and silent. Only bad experience that most of the sights and the museum were closed at this time. There not so much to do, I found it very bad from tourist side. Xmas decorations are only now to come, however in the neighborhood in Budovice the main square was full with decoration and Xmas fair. Lot of bars was closed, there was not so much to do there at this time. Thus this the city is wonderful, the castle area geourgeos, but we loved to check the old theatre or the tower.

What a wonderful experience to visit and stay in this...

What a wonderful experience to visit and stay in this charming village. To think just a few months earlier we never even heard of this gem. Such a beautiful place. Visiting in mid-October was perfect after learning that the warmer months get so crowded. We never had an issue with crowds, and oftentimes found ourselves alone, even on the castle grounds. So many great restaurants and shops to patronize and the people so friendly. St. Vitus Church is definitely worth visiting, as well as the synagogue, and of course the castle and grounds. Meander down the small alleys and bridges for beautiful views wherever you look.

Super location in gorgeous Cesky Krumlov. Right by the river and in the old town. The reception was not staffed when I arrived, but I called the number provided and found all the information I needed from Alexi. He moved me to my own little room rather than the dorm and didn't charge me extra, which was kind. Good kitchen facilities if you want to cook. My friend and I were permitted to leave our luggage before and after check in, no problems.

The apartment was beautiful at the heart of Český Krumlov. We arrived at the beginning of February and welcomed the pre-warned rooms. The suite was truly cozy making our stay in Krumlov an even better experience. Breakfast is served in a hotel nearby, where the staff was extremely kind and helpful (they let us leave our bags at the reception at the day of our departure).
