The hotel was good, could do with some renovations. It was clean and the location is great. There are few parking spots outside but you have to pay extra, there is also another car park near by. It’s a short stroll to town centre, shops, pharmacies, the old town and the beach but the area is quiet. Most rooms have sea view. The hotel manager Natasha is absolutely amazing, super helpful and friendly and made us feel so welcome. Thank you!

Great location. Staff tried very hard and succeeded to make us feel very welcome despite it being right at the end of the season and not particularly used to English tourists.

This is a beautiful historic seaside town, with so much to do and see, with wonderful seafood restaurants serving fresh fish caught each day from the local fisherman. I would say it is very charming and romantic rather than touristy. Beaches were amazing and the harbour lovely. I would advise to try to book a room with balcony overlooking the harbour if you can. We were lucky enough to do this and it was wonderful. The streets in the old town are cobbled so make sure to wear sensible walking shoes!

Sozopol is a lovely and quaint old town, with beautiful views, reasonable prices and tasty local food. Local artisans are still available - for paintings, jewelry or other objects. It has nice beaches and offers a good alternative for spending a seaside holiday, as compared to the other Bulgarian seaside resorts - we prefer it.

Sozopol genuinely has something for everyone - great beaches, great places to eat and drink, a delightful old town, history a-plenty, but also nightlife of all kinds if that's your thing. Every year when we discuss where to stay on Bulgaria's Black Sea coast, wherever else we visit, we always end up spending at least a few days in Sozopol.

Sozopol is a former fishermen village and they kept the architecture. The old town is wonderful to walk in, lots of places to eat well, lots of buildings to admire. Don't miss out the local Museums. Sozopol has 2 major nice beaches, but don't be shy, go also along the rocks, you will like the small areas there flooded with wild sea life. If you are lucky, you may be fortunate to see the local shows held in the Amphitheatre. You will find a lot of small art galleries, and hand made things and really cool street food.

Old town is really nice. come and spend 3-4 days not much.
Old town is really nice. come and spend 3-4 days not much. Most restaurants are too expensive and not on quality you expect. Beaches are not good so you must travel to have a great day on the beach. Definitely go to Sozopolo when Apolonia is there. Parking is close to impossible.

Amazing place with lots to see and experience.
Amazing place with lots to see and experience.
Tons of giftshops, some with actually handmade art and souvenirs.
Old Town is amazing, lots of live music.
Do be prepared to spend a lot of money though, like a lot of tourist destinations the prices are on the higher end.
We stayed at all inclusive light. The food was amazing! Every day we had different and varied food, all declicious, lots of options for vegetarians too.
The room was very spacious. The room and pool was very clean.
Although the don't have a private beach, they gave us some umbrellas.
Free outdoor parking, with access by card, however not monitored (no guardian or cameras around).
The beach is very close, about 50m away.
We arrived just before 14.30 (lunch closing time) and they immediately led us to lunch, even before checking in.
The location was lovely. It’s right next to a little grocery store and just a few caravans away from the restrooms. There isn’t a Seaview, but it just takes two minutes to get to the shore.
There is air conditioning in each of the caravans, and a large covered living space in the middle with kitchens and refrigerators and hot water in the sinks. It is a very comfortable space for a group of friends to go to sea.
It is also just a 30 minute walk into Sozopol old town on a fairly well lit sidewalk.
The Beach is quite and clean, the place is not crowded, but for the price we paid the quality of food should be raised. As the beach is apart from the hotel about 400 m.walk, and the base is all inclusive, the owner should suggest a beach bar, where the beverages should be available all day, cause it is not comfortable to walk 800 meters go and back to take a drink for ur self or your kid. Similar places at that rate offers that.
The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom was spacious and clean! The hotel is close to the city centre and 15 mins from the beach and old town.
The breakfast was delicious and prepared individually. We were also served fresh fruit every day, watermelon, melon, apricots or pears! Breakfast was complimentary of coffee, tea, juice...
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend Ema Hotel!
We loved everything. Apartment is large and very comfortable. 2 large separate rooms and 1 common space. Everything is in good condition. Our kids liked the pool. The bottle of vine from hosts wait us in the fridge.
The nearest beach is samdy, but small and not so good. As we have a car, we went to kavaziti Beach. It is really the best beach we have ever seen in Bulgaria.
Thanks, we have great 2 days here.
Very beautiful hotel, the location is very good - close to beaches (5 min) and walking distance (20 min) to the Sozopol Old Town. The room was clean, spacious, mediteranean vibe and had a sea view. The breakfast was delicious and you could have it by the pool. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Overall a great experience, would recommend this hotel if you come to Sozopol.
Staff was so cool and accommodating. You can upgrade to all inclusive for very cheap. Parking is a little tricky as it it is pretty much ON a very cool popular beach but you can definitely get lucky with a spot as it stretches from the hotel all the way to the beach and onwards to the beachfront RVs/ campsites. Such a cool area with amazing beach bars as well.
Everting was perfect .Amazing place for holiday in Bulgaria on popular area Sozopol .Owners and staff were very nice, friendly and very polite .Chef was amazing .The Food has been delicious .Perfect place .Thank you very much guys you made our holiday so nice and good.
The hotel was more attractive in the photos. The location was in the new part of Sozopol, there are no buses. There are beaches near the hotel, even a nudist beach)) 20 min. wolk from the hotel to the Old Town. Breakfast was good. The pool was clean. Thank you.
The hotel is located on a cliff above the sea. It's also very close to the center of the town and to the old town of Sozopol. View is nice as well and the size of the rooms is spacious. Breakfast was simple with little options but was good.
Lovely, centrally located, very clean hotel with spacious rooms in close proximity to both beaches in Sozopol, as well as to the Old town and to the centre. The staff was very friendly and gave me good recommendations what to see around.
A hotel with a magnificent view, close to the promenade leading to the Old Town and a stone’s throw to the central beach. Helpful and friendly personnel, tasty breakfast and a comfy bed count as doubtless pros of the facility.
The best hotel I’ve been to in Bulgaria!
+ facilities were top-notch
+ room had an awesome interior design & it was very comfortable
+ very clean
+ all of the staff was super lovely
+ breakfast was awesome
+ great location
The apartment has a great location in the old town of Sozopol very close to everything (restaurants, shops, beach). It is very clean and has fully equipped kitchen with a very good espresso machine. Very highly recommended!
Cheerful staff always smiling
The room was cozy and clean and had everything we needed (mini fridge, hair dryer, etc).
Good view from the terrace.
The hotel is not far from the old town and the center.
Non stop reception.
I visited Sozopol late in the season and chose to stay at Selena Beach Hotel as it was reasonable. The room was a decent size and the proximity to the beach is amazing. Two pools and everything was clean / well maintained.
All great. Very decent place for the old town of Sozopol. I think it will be a good fit for certain type of people, who will prefer a boutique art like place before a 5 star hotel.
