Maria Alm, shall be connected with other Ski areas in the region - the skipass Hochkoenig is more expensive and offers nothing spectacular apart of the fact that you can also use the ski areas 150 km away (but who cares ???) I was very dissapointed that Saalbach / Hinterglem / Leogang and Maria alm are so close but you have to buy separate skipasses . That is nothing you expect. In my opinion it is a big a disadvantage. All the rest ok

What a cute little town with a great atmosphere.
What a cute little town with a great atmosphere. The options for eating and enjoying the evening were really outstanding and you could walk to them. It would be really fun to go in the winter time to see the ski resort life. We ate at the Eber Hotel...awesome food. Order the bread and herbed butter to start...amazing.

It is a very beautiful area.
It is a very beautiful area. I found all the people I met to be friendly warm and helpful. The ski area is challenging and quite large and can accommodate mixed abilities, however if you are a Novice or Beginner you would be wise to consult the ski map before choosing your accommodation as not all the village areas are served by easy routes home. If you are, like me, a reasonably good standard skier, then you will definitely enjoy this little gem of a ski area.

We loved the mountain views from our large balcony!
We loved the mountain views from our large balcony! The beautiful old church was across the street. We loved the bells! The restaurant across the street was excellent. We had a rental car and parking was no charge, parking was right next to the house. We were so happy the owner could speak english, she was very helpful and surprised us with flowers on the table, bottle of champagne & delicious homemade blueberry desert for our 40th wedding anniversary! We were provided with free passes for the trams and buses. We took the trams to the top of the mountains and hiked the trails providing amazing views. We rented E-bikes (awesome invention) also got a discount with the pass. Biking trails are endless, stop and fill your water bottles along the way with mountain spring water from the many water stations. There is no grocery store in this little village, shopping is about a 10 minute drive. Bus stop is very close. We only spent 4 days there but loved every minute. :-)

I rarely feel compelled to rate my stay unless it is exceptional and the Wachtelhof hotel is exactly that, exceptional. The hotel is beautifully done and the room is big and spacious. The staff is incredible and they go above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The food is delicious and we ended up having dinner everyday at the hotel despite having the intention to try some other restaurants in the areas. We were here to ski and the location couldn’t be more perfect. The only regret is not staying longer.
The host was very friendly and accommodating. Modern Apartment. Separate bathroom with a second toilet. Lift to the first floor. Security access. Spacious. Insect screens on bedroom windows. Good coffee machine and dishwasher. Combination oven and microwave. Safe in main bedroom and 2 balconies. Onsite restaurant. Access to the Hochkönig Card.
We had access to undercover parking for 2 motorbikes.
Great location with a double mountain view, balcony, near to a supermarket, bus stop, lift and still quiet at night.
Modern renovated bathroom, kitchen with all important appliances, quite a big living room.
Hochkönig card was included and allowed us to use lifts and other attractions.
Very clean appartment and hall, friendly owners, pleasant to stay there.
Nice apartment in a good, quiet place for a relaxing stay in the mountains. The apartments were very clean, spacious and well equipped. Nice, helpful host. The "Hochkonig Summer Card" has been provided to each guest whoch could be used for a free ride on several cable cars and the local bus. There are some good restauramts in the vicinity.
Great location, lovely owners, delicious breakfast, and the perfect place for our family to stay and explore Maria Alm. Added bonus was receiving the Hochkönig card for taking the lifts to the mountains, using the nearby pool, and riding the Bitberg rodelbahn. Highly recommend and would love to visit again.
This is one of the best hotel I've ever been to!
The breakfast is amazing (local products and amazing drinks)!
We could stay at the spa area after check out :)
The room is very clean, mountain views, the spa area is super nice and they have a "natural pool" outside!
We will come back!!!
Excellent cuisine for breakfast and dinner.
No bar/apres-ski close to hotel, which could cause noise during night.
Centrally located for lifts and shops.
Easy and free parking close to hotel.
Maria Alm is great for families.
Nice SPA facilities in hotel.
Friendly staff
I really liked the breakfast, simple but satisfying. I also liked that the mountain gondola was a minute food walk from the hotel away. You also walk one minute towards town center and you can enjoy delicious food at lokal restaurants.
Location was nice, and despite the hotel being at the very bottom of the valley, the view from the room with a balcony was nice as well. The staff at the reception were nice, friendly and accommodating.
Location/ mr.mario was helpful he served washing area .chalet i t was cleaned and offered cooked appliances. It was unforgettable experience thank you for made my memories in austria 🇦🇹
Great apartment with really nice balcony and amazing view. A lot of great activities with Free Hochkönig card. It was really great stay and I will definitely come back in winter.
Clean, spacious and good location for skiing in the Hochkonig region. ski bus right outside but slopes walkable anyway. Everything we needed was there.
