The Loch Connell Lodge is a beautiful, spacious and relaxing property nestled in the gorgeous Donegal Countryside. The rooms and beds are really comfortable, and the property was really well catered, included items from breakfast, washing facilities, different areas to relax and some nice outdoor spaces for when the weather is nice. The place is well signposted from the road, and offered a lot of space for parking if you've taken a car. You'll be sharing with other guests, but the house is big enough to not feel cramped, and everyone when we were there was very pleasant and polite.
John was a brilliant host, checking in regularly to see how we were and offering advice on the local area.

if you’re looking for a very basic, roof over head scenario then you’ll be grand. if you’re looking anything grander, forget it. It had everything we needed. To get their put Eddie’s Cottage into google maps, it’ll avoid the longer back road drive that google takes you when you use the description on the booking listing. Eddie (when we met him) was very polite and friendly, and he’d lit the fire for us arriving. Good location for staying close to Mount Errigal.

There are a few winter activities to engage in here, especially if, like our family, you are an outdoor enthusiast who relishes spending time near the water and enjoys all types of weather.
We had our dinner in McCafferty's Bar & Restaurant (and it was good).

We were there from our home in Scotland to view a property on the coast. Even though the trip was very focused, we saw beautiful scenery and had a great dinner. Going home via ferry, we drove up the coastal road before cutting across to Larne, breath taking views!

Love Dungloe, We dined at the Waterfront Hotel, just five minutes drive from the cottage. The food was excellent, the only thing we noticed was that the hotel was very understaffed, but 100% of all the staff on duty worked way beyond what should be required of them under normal circumstances.
Dungloe is a very easy town to navigate and is very well signposted from the approaching directions and the Town is very well sigh posted to enable uninterrupted navigation, The shore walk and the River walk are excellent. Plenty of exceptional pubs and entertainment.

Dungloe is a nice small Town on the West Coast with access to the Wild Atlantic Coastal route. It has good dining facilities with local Bars providing food and accommodation. Access to many Beaches in nearby traveling distance .
Lakeside cabin equivalent to a 4 star hotel.
Wonderful view of wild trout jumping in lake from window, framed by hills and trees. Majestic..
Accommodation very well set out, everything supplied, very clean and well furnished.
Perfect for dog owners.
Moya and David friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Moya even gave me free fly fishing lessons. 🐟🎣😊
Close to Dungloe, large town with several supermarkets, pubs and restaurants as well as large hotel overlooking the sea.
Fantastic walks and beaches close by.
Hotel is in a very scenic location overlooking the bay. The grounds provide lots of space for parking. Bedroom was located on 2nd floor and was very clean, modern and provided great views. There was plenty of choice for breakfast with a variety of hot and cold food. Dinners were very tasty and well presented.
Staff were friendly and attentive. A special thanks to Martina for helping to organise our 5 night stay.
This has to be the best holiday accommodation we've ever stayed in. A wonderful welcome on checking in, this lady is so warm and welcoming. Exceptional standard of cleanliness. Located in the perfect spot, within a short stroll of Dungloe's pubs, restaurants etc. Breakfast was perfect 👌. Will definitely stay there again if in the area, can't praise Radharc an Oileann highly enough.
Arrived early for check in and they had our room ready for us. They also left a plate of treats for us which was a brilliant touch. Room was spotless and had a lovely view of the sea. Location is perfect, just a 5 minute walk to the main street. I'd highly recommend dungloe for a night away, some great pubs and the people were all very welcoming. Definitely be back.
Everything from the warm (but not overbearing) welcome to the cleanliness of the place was first class.
The breakfast exceeded expectations, both in quantity and quality - right down to the coffee being greatr! The location was perfect for what I needed, being an easy walking distance to the middle of Dungloe.
Wouldn't hesitate at all in highly recommending it.
Fantastic hotel located in a beautiful setting overlooking the water. The room was modern and spotless. Food was excellent too. What made it for me was the friendly staff. Everyone was welcoming and took time to have a chat to find out our interests during our stay and to make recommendations. Superb service. I wish I could stay again this weekend
A fantastic two bedroom log cabin with facilities second to none. In a quiet secluded location, yet within easy walking distance to Dungloe Town centre. The host, Marie, couldn't do enough for us during our stay. In summary the Inisean Lodge log cabin is a superb place to stay, and I can't recommend it highly enough.
Everything. If u are going to dungloe its perfect, but also good as a base for touring donegal. So many little touches to make you feel at home. All the things you need were already in the kitchen and plenty of toiletries too. The views are stunning. There's even a horse in the the rear garden. We loved it
Paula and her family were exceptionally kind to us. They also provided pick up and drop services to us as we didn't have a car. They went out of their way to help us. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Dungloe. Their hotel is near the beach and close to all the famous pubs.
Staff where very friendly especially oisin in the bistro nothing was too much trouble and has a lovely manner. Gerry behind the bar is a credit to the hotel attentive to the needs of the customers and again nothing was any trouble. Location was fantastic and the public areas where well kept.
Lovely chalet in Dungloe with an amazing host! We had a complimentary welcome gift and got advised to visit the Mary from Dungloe festival, where we heard amazing folk music live! A warm thank you to the host for all the great advice.
Great hotel/bar, lots of locals stop by which makes it a great spot to hang out and find out more about the town. The staff are super helpful and wonderful. Your room itself is small but it gets you a good night of sleep.
The hotel staff were some of the friendliest we have ever met. The hotel was spotless and the food was incredible. The room was spacious enough and had everything you would need for your stay. We will definitely be back
Property location is beautiful, overlooking the lough and easy access to Dungloe town. The layout of the lodge is lovely and had everything we needed for our stay. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful.
Enjoyed a comfortable stay in Waterfront Hotel. Food was excellent for dinner. Night porter gave me an excellent continental breakfast early having had no notice and was very obliging.
The house is beautiful, and host Aisling kept in touch about our stay. A very comfortable and spacious not too far from beaches and very close to Dungloe town centre.
