Unfortunately for us the river trips weren’t on - we will definitely go back to try them!! Lots of places of interest to drive out to - ElFinn, Westport. Also took advantage of visiting a local distillery- fabulous ! The Shed .

Beautiful vibrant town with welcoming people everywhere.
Beautiful vibrant town with welcoming people everywhere. The area by the river is particularly beautiful. There are plenty of things to do and see and the market ( if you get the chance to see it) is lovely. The tiny Costello chapel is moving and a tiny gem. Really good range of places to eat and some very excellent ones amongst them. The whole town has a bustling vibrant feel and is a complete delight. It is well located to allow you to visit a range fo places of interest further afield.

5 Bedrooms.
Quad room for the teenagers was great.
Plenty of hot water.
Short walk to nearby pub. A nice 1k walk into Leitrim village, footpath most of the way.
Nearby pub (owners of home) very good for food and drink.
Right alongside the shannon blueway/canal lock at battlebridge (house is not in carrick on shannon...), nice walks/hiking trails from there, as well as cruiser navigation.
15 mins from Lough Key and 10 mins from Lough Allen.
The cottage is located near carrick on shannon and longford, the grounds of the cottage are just amazing, the river Shannon goes through it, and guests can fish, and also use the boat which comes with the cottage, there's a picnic bench beside the river.
The cottage also has a nice terrace, and a BBQ, inside the cottage is old world style, in keeping with the cottage age, the conservatory is so nice and we enjoyed sitting there in the evenings.
We didn’t stay at the property. The little gem by the boardwalk was disgusting, dated, and did not have anything to recommend it. It was mis sold and I therefore request a complete refund. I understood that the bathroom was an en suite and that we would have some privacy and not sharing the apartment with the proprietor. We had to check into an hotel which cost us €500.00 for the three nights.
We await your response!!
Brilliant house, especially for children and a bonus that it allows pets. The children loved the trampoline and climbing frame.
Very private with plenty of space for the children and dogs to run about, yet only a 5 minute drive to Tesco and a shopping outlet, and a 10 minute drive to Carrick on Shannon town centre.
House quite modern, with a cosy living room. Nice view of the lake.
Will definitely return
Fabulous renovation of a grand late 18th century farm house. Kate was a brilliant hostess. Nothing was any bother or too much trouble. Very clean and tidy; breakfast was delicious. Beautiful bed linen and fluffy towels. Location is a 15 minute walk outside of Carrick on Shannon or a 3 minute drive. lots to do and see/ places to go in the local area. The most relaxing holiday ever in Ireland. Will be back!
A friend and I stayed here while we were on a hen weekend in carrick on Shannon. We wanted a bit of peace and quiet away from the town and that is what we got! The surroundings are so beautiful and peaceful. The cottage was perfect, all the amenities we needed and even a gorgeous terrace area to enjoy a cup of tea before hitting the town. Only wish we got to stay longer!
Gorgeous historic hotel in the middle of Carrick on Shannon, beautiful outside garden area and staff were simply brilliant. Room was huge and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was amazing. Every possible COVID safety measure was in place and we felt so safe and looked after!
Great value room, and very comfortable. Ideally located in Leitrim Village, close to Carrick and easy to get anywhere. Very welcoming and friendly, and everything spotlessly clean. Great having a microwave / fridge just to make some meals a bit easier. Wifi was great.
Fantastic location. Very spacious & clean. Good size tv & all you would need for a great stay in Carrick on shannon. Plenty of places to eat & drink nearby. Little gala shop just around the corner. Philip was available to ask for any suggestions if needed.
This was the perfect stay in the cutest little town. Large hotel with very friendly staff. Our room was large and comfortable. Staff recommended bars to check out in the local area and suggestions on where to eat. Would recommended to everyone!
Nice property but cost was very high given the quality. The location is fab, we sat watching boats go by in the sun outside which was lovely. The food was very nice. we had breakfast, lunch and dinner in the hotel and staff were fab.
Comfortable and very accommodating to our family needs. Also rooms were lovely great tv and lovely tea and biscuits. And the old Irish papers on the walls brilliant. A real home feeling hotel. Lovely to see.
Kelly, at the front desk was very helpful and was able to let us check in a couple hours early. It’s a lovely hotel right across from the marina and close to everything in town.
